Specially selected by the Best of British team for Marks and Spencer, this brushed oxford shirt, is made from 100% cotton, designed and woven in Italy by Canclini Tessile. Featuring a clean bluff edge collar and French armhole seams, Best of British shirts are manufactured in Kent by Rayner & Sturges. Canclini Tessile was established in 1925, and is currently based in Guanzate, Italy. Canclini fabrics are made exclusively from compact single yarns and long staple twisted yarns in pure Egyptian cotton and linen. Special care is dedicated to the choice of yarn and is fundamental for the production of luxury, high quality fabrics. Rayner & Sturges began making detachable shirt collars in Brompton, Kent in the early 20th century. By 1935 the company had become shirtmakers in their own right. Their collars are made in the traditional way: hand-turned with a loose lining and collar stiffener slots.
